EuroMillions · Statistics question

Have the same EuroMillions winning numbers ever been drawn twice?

Yes. In all 1,993 EuroMillions draws on record (February 13, 2004 – October 27, 2026), one set of five main numbers has been drawn more than once: 4, 30, 31, 38 and 42 (May 2, 2014 and August 31, 2018).

What this check covers

It compares the main numbers of every EuroMillions draw on record with every other draw, ignoring order and the lucky stars. It covers the whole archive, including draws made under earlier rules, because the same set of numbers could have come up in either era. (The other statistics use only the 1,053 draws under the current rules.)

A repeat is no more or less likely than any other result: a set that has been drawn before has the same chance as every other combination in the next draw. Every draw is independent: the machine has no memory, so a number that has come up often, rarely or not for a long time has exactly the same chance as any other in the next draw. These figures describe what has happened, not what will.
