Why the balanced mixes are the most common

There are simply more ways to pick a balanced set than a lopsided one: far more combinations have 2 or 3 odd numbers than have none. That is why the middle rows fill up and the extremes stay rare. It says nothing about which numbers come next, and an all-odd line has exactly the same chance of being drawn as any other single line.

Every draw is independent: the machine has no memory, so a number that has come up often, rarely or not for a long time has exactly the same chance as any other in the next draw. These figures describe what has happened, not what will.

Questions and answers

What is the most common odd/even and high/low mix in Daily Grand?

In 1,045 Daily Grand draws since October 20, 2016, the most common mix is three odd and two even numbers, in 338 draws (32.3%); for high and low, it's two low (1–24) and three high (25–49), in 344 draws (32.9%).

Should a Daily Grand line have a balanced mix of odd and even numbers?

It doesn't change the chance of winning. Balanced mixes come up more often only because there are more of those combinations; every single combination, balanced or not, has the same chance in each draw.
